The first day of the Pan Delta Super Racing Festival at the Zhuhai International Circuit saw just one practice session held in dry conditions before rain set in for the day. Ananda Mikola set the pace in the dry whilst Dado Pena headed the time sheets in all three wet sessions.

China Macau driver, Jo Merszei, takes over the Dallara 304 TOM’S car vacated by John O’Hara for the Zhuhai event this weekend. Merszei has competed in the Macau F3 GP six times.

Japanese driver, Katsuhiro Konno, has been forced to delay his return to the Asian Formula Three Series due to a last minute sponsorship glitch. He will now join the Series at the Sentul event in August.

Guangdong Televisions Sports Channel will again broadcast both AF3 races live from the Zhuhai International Circuit Pan Delta Super Racing Festival in China. Round five will be aired at 2.40pm on Saturday June 18th with round six at the same time on Sunday June 19th.

Japanese driver, Hideaki Machida, will drive for Speedtech Asia in their Promotions Class Dallara TOM’S 398 at Zhuhai on June 18/19th. Machida is no stranger to Asian F3 having raced for Speedtech Asia last year in Beijing and Joson F3 in the 2003 round at the same circuit.
