The first event of the 2004 Formula BMW Asia Series was held at the Bahrain Grand Prix and Minardi Team Asia gave notice that they are a team to be reckoned with.

Denso Philippines have confirmed they will be title partner of the JF3 Racing team in the 2004 Asian Formula Three Series, continuing their support of the team which began in 2002.

Marchy Lee of Vertex Racing confirmed at the Bahrain GP that Vertex will enter two cars in the Asian Formula Three Series for Jeffrey Lee and Paul Chan.
