The 2007-8 Asian Formula Three Champion will receive a test drive in a Force India Formula 1 Racing Team car courtesy of the official AF3 partner ,TOM’S. The Asian F3 Series, which has adopted the winter series format, will begin on November 25th at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia and end in China next April after also visiting the Philippines and India.

AF3 teams have begun their testing campaigns prior to the start of the 2007-8 Series in November this year. Aran Racing, Team Goddard and PTRS have all been running at the Zhuhai Circuit in China.

Asian F3 driver, Henri Karjalainen, will race in this weekend’s Turkish GP2 event supporting the F1 Grand Prix. He replaces Markus Niemela, who dislocated his shoulder in the Hungarian GP race, at BCN competition. Niemela is expected to make a return in Monza. Karjalainen’s results in this years AF3 Pacific Series were instrumental in his been given this opportunity.

The Asian Formula Three Corporation have decided to delay the introduction of the 2005-7 model car, therefore the latest model allowed in the upcoming Asian F3 2007-8 Series will be 2004 cars, such as the Dallara 304.
