Paul Salapantan, Marketing Manager of Castrol Philippines, and Mark Goddard of Team Goddard, inked an agreement to continue their successful partnership which has seen them win the 2002 Asian Formula Three Championship and the 2003 Asian Formula Three Promotion Class Series.

A Formula Three engine in this climate has to survive the harshest of tests and the fact that we do this with the same Castrol oil used in ordinary road cars whilst always having a performance advantage makes us very happy to continue our four year partnership.”

Castrol Team Goddard will be entering a car for 2002 Asian Formula Three Champion, Mark Goddard, in this year’s series which kicks off at the Batangas Race Circuit on April 25th. Castrol Team Goddard will also enter a car under the Minardi Team Asia banner for a young yet to be named driver. “Our drivers now have a direct route to Formula One through Minardi and we hope that the partnership of Castrol Philippines and Team Goddard will help put a local driver on the grid of a Formula One Grand Prix in the very near future” reported Goddard.
