John Ohara, the 2003 irish formula champion, will be joining the Shell Kinetic F3 team for the 2004 AF3 season. He will be paired with 2003 champion, Pepon Marave, and is considered a top favorite for the 2004 title. John will be bringing 12 years of European racing experience and will be driving the second Dallara 301 car of the Shell Kinetic F3 Racing Team. Both cars are powered by Torii tuned Toyota engines.

After posting blindingly fast times during his first practice runs in BRC, John’s skills and talents caught the attention of the other AF3 drivers who were impressed with his driving performance. “I am looking forward to racing here in asia especially the Philippines. The weather is quite hot and the tracks very challenging so I have to be in best shape for me to win here. I know the Drivers are all of very high skill level so this will really be a good challenge for me. I’m happy to join a professional team like Shell Kinetic whose winning records speak for itself. I’m preparing hard to give Pepon Marave a good fight this year as I would like to win the 2004 title” quipped the irish champ.
