Rounds 7 & 8 of the Asian Formula Three Series had been scheduled to be part of the Asian Festival of Speed event at Shanghai on October 24th. However the cancellation of that event has resulted in the venue change to Sentul Circuit.

“Naturally we are disappointed not to be racing at the Shanghai GP Circuit this year but the cancellation of the AFOS event has given us the opportunity to race at the Sentul Circuit which is a great facility not far from Jakarta. AFOS had tried their best to ensure the Shanghai event went ahead but unfortunately they suffered the same fate as several other intended races there and were forced to cancel.” reported Mark Goddard of the Asian Formula Three Corporation. “ We all hope that after the Formula One Grand Prix the powers at be in Shanghai will be in a position to consider other International Events and we can have a meaningful schedule set for 2005. We would like to thank AFOS for all their efforts in trying to save the Shanghai event, no blame can be attached to them for the cancellation”.
More news of the exciting plans for the Indonesian Race will be announced soon.
