A thirty minute practice session this morning was followed by a 45 minute qualifying session this afternoon. The same format is repeated tomorrow with the drivers best time from either session counting for his grid place for the first race this Saturday.
Jones was under strict instructions to take it easy and learn the track before pushing tomorrow. Boris Bermes of TME was happy with Jone’s progress “Every lap was getting quicker” he reported. Jones himself was pleased “We did not put new tyres on preferring to save them for tomorrow when I will know the track better”.
