Asian Formula Renault Champion tests for TOM'S Asia - Feb 8 05

Macanese driver Rodolfo Avila flies to Manila over the Chinese New Year holidays to do a series of tests at the Batangas Racing Circuit conducted by Philippine-based Fujitsu Ten Toyota Team Tom’s.

“BRC is known to be a technical and physically demanding track to drive an F3 on and I am looking forward to the challenge. I anticipate closely working with the team to help set me up to do good lap times”, remarked the former Asian FRenault 2000 champion.

The youthful Avila, who turns 18 this month, is seriously looking into a full season drive in the Asian F3 Series. Rumor has it that negotiation with TTT for a Tom’s-powered Dallara 304 is currently ongoing pending a few commitments from sponsors.

The test, scheduled later this week shall be Avila’s first of a series of tests before the series officially starts in April.
