Tyson Sy headed the field after the first practice day for the September 18th Sentul Circuit event. Dado Pena was second from local hero Ananda Mikola, John O’hara and Rodolfo Avila. Moreno was just faster than Lee Farrell in the Promotions Class with Greg Murphy third.

Sentul is extremely hard on tyres and how many laps your tyres have done make a huge difference to lap times. We will only know the real state of play when qualifying takes place as this will be first time all drivers are on the same tyres – new Yokohamas.

Sy does seem to be ahead of the rest and Pena was consistently best of the rest, actually heading the times in the second of three sessions. Christian Jones and Rodolfo Avila were the only drivers to use brand new tyres and they must be disappointed not to have gone quicker.

Moreno, Farrell and Murphy all had off course excursions whilst Pepon Marave hit the wall without doing too much damage.
