Tyson Sy set fastest time of the day with John O’Hara and Ananda Mikola joint second and Rodolfo Avila fourth quickest just a fraction slower. The weather did its best to spoil the day with heavy showers resulting in a circuit which was never fully dry. Moreno Soeprapto was just fastest in the Promotions Class with Murphy, Farrell and Legris all close to the Indonesian.

Pepon Marave went off backwards at the high speed Brian’s corner quite heavily damaging the car whilst Dado Pena also hit the wall in the fast kink fortunately without too much damage. Pena completed few laps due to a misfire. Other spinners included Sy, Queenan and Joel Retuya. Greg Murphy parked in the gravel at the final turn.

Batangas has a new first turn, adding 300 meters to the lap, which appears to have increased lap times by about four seconds. The longer pit straight into a now second gear corner will hopefully produce a good overtaking opportunity.
