The build up to the first event at the Batangas Race Circuit on May 6/7th has really begun with several drivers practicing on April 27th in their new cars. Ali Jackson topped the time sheets with James Winslow a close second.

Ali Jackson has done several days testing at BRC over the off season and demonstrated this has been to good effect by recording a 1m 28.8 lap time. James Winslow, out in his JA Motorsport Dallara 304 for the first time, was only one tenth slower whilst Moreno Soeprapto posted a 1m 30.1 in his Speedtech Asia Dallara 301. Moreno struggled with a shoulder injury which hopefully will have healed by race week.

Indonesian, Bagoes Hermanto, was out in the R&W Team Indonesia Joson F3 Dallara 398. This car will in fact be raced by his brother Satria Hermanto, the Dallara 304 of Bagoes not yet ready for testing. Bagoes recorded a 1m 32.1 whilst female driver, Gaby dela Merced, continued her improvement with a 1m 33.1 despite an off into the tyre wall fortunately without incurring much damage.
