Most teams are reluctant to name drivers until contracts have been inked but Aran Motorsport report they are close to signing two competitive drivers. Team Goddard seems confident they will have three possibly four drivers on the grid whilst Speedtech Asia reckon two drivers are almost certain. JA Motorsport are also hopeful of putting two cars on the grid. Alexandre Imperatori recently tested for JA Motorsport at the Batangas Race Circuit and reportedly posted some very competitive lap times. Joson F3 and Kinetic F3 are also talking to several potential drivers.
The general consensus with the teams is that there has never been more interest in Asian Formula Three and that it is attracting some extremely competitive drivers from throughout the World. The China Driver Class for Promotion Class cars will also bolster the grid and give the crowd some local interest.
