Drivers competing in the Sentul and Zhuhai Asian F3 Pacific events on May 13 and June 24 respectively will be racing for two prestigious trophies in addition to points in the Series itself. The driver who scores the most points over the three races held at Sentul will receive the Presidents trophy whilst the Pan Delta F3 Cup is up for grabs for the most successful driver at Zhuhai.

The Presidents Cup was first awarded in 2004 to Ananda Mikola and has since become one of Indonesia’s most prestigious awards. The Pan Delta F3 Cup is being launched at the June 23-24 Zhuhai event and it will be a great trophy to add to any driver’s CV.

A spokesman for the Asian Formula Three Corporation reported that it is hoped this will attract more drivers to compete in Zhuhai and Sentul. “The drivers who have competed in the first two rounds of the AF3 Pacific Series are all aiming for the Driver of the Year Award, a sponsored drive in the Macau F3 GP, but we felt we needed to offer new drivers to the series something they could aim to win during a one off appearance. The Presidents Cup and Pan Delta F3 Cup are prestigious awards that any driver should be proud to have in their trophy cabinet”.
