2006 Asian F3 Champion, James Winslow, received a special award at the Watkins Lecture held in the UK. Professor Sid Watkins made the presentation on behalf of Motorsport News to mark Winslow’s heroic action in saving the life of a fellow competitor, Moreno Soeprapto, at last years Sentul AF3 event.

Winslow was able to help Moreno from his burning car which landed upside down against the tyre barrier after the two had collided in the braking area for the corner. James Winslow bravery has also been recognized by the Royal Humane Society in the UK and he will be presented with their Bronze Medal later this year. Motorsport News nominated him for the award and he becomes only the second motorsport figure to receive the prestigious Bronze Medal.
