In an extremley exciting session the driver at the top of the time sheets changed many times in the last fifteen minutes of the session. Suzuki put in a tremendous final lap to record 1m 26. 902, the fastest lap ever recorded on the current Batangas Circuit.

Matt Howson of PTRS Racing had been right on the pace during practice but suffered a spectacular accident in the 200kph turn six early in the qualifiying. The team are confident they will have the car repaired for the first of four races to be held this weekend.
