Graduates of the Asian F3 Series are currently competing around the World and doing extremely well. The last five AF3 champion drivers are all proving to be competitive in their chosen championships, ranging from Indy Lights to Porsche Carrera Cup.

2007 Asian F3 Pacific Champion, Dillon Battistini, won the first round of the Indy Pro Series at Homestead Miami last week. The IRL’s equivalent of GP2 is extremely competitive and Battistini once again demonstrated that Asian F3 is a credible career step for talented drivers.

Frederic Vervisch was followed home by Rafael Suzuki and Ed Pead who recorded his first top three finish in the Series. Matt Howson had led Suzuki in a battle for second place until drive shaft failure forced him out on the final lap.

Matt Howson took a fine win after soaking up the pressure from Frederic Vervisch with Rafael Suzuki in third place. It was an exciting race as both Suzuki and Vervisch stalled at the start resulting in both drivers having to chase after the leaders.
